Ain’t No Half-Steppin’
Charles Stone (“Drumline”) is set to direct the upbeat comedy “Ain’t No Half Steppin” for Broad Green Pictures. Chuck Hayward penned the script for the film about an ambitious black sorority girl who, in order to get admitted to the law school of her dreams, agrees to cross culture lines and teach the exclusive art of black Greek stepping to a band of wild, Kardashian-obsessed white sorority girls whose charter is about to be revoked. Matt Alvarez, Lena Waithe and Benjamin Cory Jones are producing. [Source: Deadline]

Hannibal
Obviously shot around the same time as the standalone coda for the series finale of NBC’s now-cancelled “Hannibal,” it seems showrunner Bryan Fuller and star Gillian Anderson used the unique opportunity of the memorable scene to shoot a PSA for PETA about going vegan. It’s a cute piece that’s timed well ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend next week.

The Revenant
Alejandro G. Inarritu’s wilderness survival drama “The Revenant” reportedly has a 156 minute runtime. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy star in the film about a man who seeks vengeance after being left for dead, a film which is expected to be a major awards contender come the end of the year.
