Suicide Squad
Cinematographer Roman Vasyanov has released a pair of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes images from David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad”. The shots come from two deleted scenes from the film which grossed $756 million worldwide.

One scene has Quinn openly rejecting him after his attempt to rescue her via helicopter. The other has a pair of Joker’s dancers painted gold and mockingly wearing Batman masks. They can be seen here and here.

Bohemian Rhapsody
A September start date in London has been announced for the Freddie Mercury biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” starring Rami Malek.

“X-Men” helmer Bryan Singer will helm the story of the frontman of legendary 70s rock band Queen. It’s also been confirmed the famed Live Aid concert performance will be recreated for the new film. [Source: Queen Online]

Alexander Payne’s “Downsizing” has been announced as the opening film of this year’s Venice International Film Festival with the project set to bow on August 30th ahead of its theatrical release on December 22nd.

The dark comedy centers on a man (Matt Damon) who wonders what his life would be like if he shrank himself. Laura Dern, Kirsten Wiig, Christoph Waltz and Jason Sudeikis also star. [Source: Variety]

First Man
Shea Whigham is in negotiations to join the cast of Damien Chazelle’s space drama “First Man”. The Josh Singer-penned project stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong along with Claire Foy, Corey Stoll, Kyle Chandler and Jason Clarke.

Whigham is making a deal to play Gus Grissom, one of the original Mercury Seven astronauts, who was killed along with fellow astronauts Ed White and Roger Chaffee during a pre-launch test at Cape Canaveral. “First Man” opens next October. [Source: The Tracking Board]

Baby Driver
Reviews for Edgar Wright’s “Baby Driver” have been great, and the film’s opening, extended car chase sequence choreographed to Jon Spencer Blues Explosion’s “Bellbottoms” has now been put online. The film is now playing everywhere.
