Snatched
The Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn-led mother-daughter comedy which wrapped shooting this past Summer has finally settled on a title – “Snatched”. This marks Hawn’s first film since 2002’s “The Banger Sisters”.

Paul Feig is producing the film about a family vacation gone wrong and inspired by writer Katie Dippold’s relationship with her own mother. Jonathan Levine directs. [Source: The Wrap]

Jackals
Stephen Dorff, Johnathon Schaech, Deborah Kara Unger, Ben Sullivan, Chelsea Ricketts and Nick Roux are set to star in the Kevin Greutert-directed psychological thriller “Jackals” for Tommy Alastra Productions.

Set in the 1980s, the story centers on an estranged family who hire a cult de-programmer (Dorff) to get back their teenage son from a murderous cult. They soon find themselves under siege when the cultists surround their cabin, demanding the boy back. Jared Rivet penned the script. [Source: Heat Vision]

Untitled One Last Dive Feature
“Hobo With a Shotgun” director Jason Eisener will helm an untitled thriller for Fox, Oddball Entertainment, Joe Hartwick, Jr. and Plattform.

Inspired by Eisener’s “One Last Dive” short, the story follows a diver investigating an underwater crime scene. Remaining details about the feature film have yet to be released. Lewaa Nasserdeen is writing the script. [Source: Variety]

The Kingkiller Chronicle
John Rogers (“The Player”) will write and serve as executive producer for the pilot for the TV adaptation of “The Kingkiller Chronicle” fantasy novel series. The story follow a wizard with a tragic childhood who becomes a household name.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is producing the franchise which will also include a film based on the first three novels in author Pat Rothfuss’ series. Robert Lawrence will also produce the TV series. [Source: Variety]

The Lost Property Office
Sony Pictures has preemptively acquired the screen rights to James R. Hannibal’s just released young adult novel “The Lost Property Office”. Matthew Stein will produce.

The story follows a teen named Jack Buckles, who is uncanny at locating missing things. He tests his mettle and searches for his missing father, only to stumble upon a secret magical society of gifted detective ‘trackers’. [Source: Deadline]
