Metacritic’s Top 2014 Titles
Spanning movies, television and video games, the review aggregation site Metacritic is seen as something of an authority on what’s best in those three areas of popular entertainment. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Filming on the fifth film in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series gets underway in Australia shortly, and the first photos of pre-production crews building sets for the feature have arrived over at Coming Soon.
The shots were taken around the Gold Coast Hinterland in Queensland. Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Geoffrey Rush and Brenton Thwaites star in the film which is still locking down a female lead. Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg helm the project which is aiming for a July 7th 2017 release.
Several weeks ago, filming wrapped on the New Orleans-shot scenes for the “Kickboxer” remake, with production having moved to Thailand. Today, Variety reports that around 150 union crew members on the project have not yet been paid.
The cause is said to be due to a last minute pull out by a financier on the film, leading to the last week of crew payroll being affected. An attorney for Radar Pictures says a replacement has been found and payments will be made by early next week.

Several months after the film’s release, leading lady Emily Blunt tells Collider she much prefers the original title and wasn’t happy with the name change: “That’s a bummer isn’t it? I gotta say, I love ‘All You Need Is Kill’. I loved it… I thought it was more ironic and totally more than a movie, you know?
