The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
Before the epic event that gives the third chapter in “The Hobbit” trilogy its name, Peter Jackson’s movie will deal with another major fight – Smaug’s attack on Laketown.

Captain America: Civil War
With Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark appearing in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War,” the question has been raised as to whether his love interest Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) will also make an appearance. Paltrow herself tells Dish Nation: “I don’t know. I’ve heard rumors that maybe, and I don’t know. My fingers are crossed. I would love to be Pepper Potts again at some point in my life.”
The character does not appear in next year’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and there is no “Iron Man 4” on the horizon, so ‘Civil War’ may be the only chance we’ll get to see Pepper on the big screen for quite some time.
Black Male Crisis
In the wake of the August shooting of Michael Brown in the U.S. city of Ferguson, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Amy Berg (“West of Memphis,” “Deliver Us From Evil”) and “Red Tails” actor Nate Parker are teaming for the documentary “Black Male Crisis”.
Berg, Parker and writer-director Matthew Cooke have launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign this week to generate $25,000 for the project which aims to explore the ongoing dehumanization of black men and the growing problem of racial disparity in the United States. [Source: Variety]
