Buster’s Mal Heart
Well Go USA Entertainment has scored North American and select international rights for Sarah Adina Smith’s thriller “Buster’s Mal Heart” starring “Mr. Robot” himself Rami Malek. An early 2017 theatrical run is planned.

Malek stars as a troubled man on the run from fate seeking solace from both his past and future. DJ Qualls, Kate Lyn Sheil, Toby Huss, and Lin Shaye co-star. [Source:Variety]

All Star Weekend
Eva Longoria, Jeremy Piven and Jessica Szohr are set to star in Jamie Foxx’s writing and directing debut “All-Star Weekend” which began production this week. Chuck Pacheco, Deon Taylor and Butch Kaplan will co-produce

The story follows two tow-truck drivers Malik (Foxx) and Danny (Piven). The friends are obsessive fans of basketball and end up winning tickets to the NBA All-Star Game. Szohr plays Danny’s girlfriend Abby, while Longoria is the ‘beautiful and mysterious Asia.’ Snoop Dogg, The Game, DJ Khaled, French Montana and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will all cameo. [Source: Fuse]

Office Uprising
“Inception” and “Ant-Man” action designer and stunt person Lin Oeding is set to direct the genre film “Office Uprising” starring Brenton Thwaites and Jane Levy. Shooting begins in Alabama at the end of November.

Written by Ian Shorr and Peter Gamble Robinson, the story follows of an underachiever working at a major weapons manufacturing firm who finds his co-workers have been ‘weaponized’ by a new energy drink designed for the military. He must rescue his one true love from an office building full of psychotic coworkers armed with tomorrow’s deadliest tech.

BMX
“Fast and Furious” series regular and rap star Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges has been tapped to star in the inspirational action drama “BMX” based on the true story of BMX rider John Buultjens. Alex Ranarivelo (“Running Wild,” “Praying For Rain”) is directing from a script he co-wrote with Hadeel Reda, Jean-Marie Sobeck and Jack Reher.

Shane Graham plays a young Scottish teen fostered by an unlikely interracial couple (Ludacris, Sasha Alexander). The father buys John his first bike while nursing the teen’s emotional wounds. [Source: Deadline]
