The first photo has been released from “The Handmaid,” the highly anticipated new film from Park Chan-Wook (“Stoker,” “Oldboy”) which is det to debut sometime next year. An adaptation of Sarah Waters’ novel “Fingersmith,” the story is set during the Japanese rule of Korea and follows a handmaid who employs the services of an heiress, con man and pickpocket. Stan Lee will team with creators of HBO’s “Rome” and The CW’s “The Flash” for the action-thriller feature “Arch Alien” at Hualien Media and Mission Control Entertainment. Shooting kicks off next March.

Le Vision Pictures USA has scored the rights to Jayson Rothwell’s action film”Zodiac: The Year Of The Snake” with Bernie Goldmann (“300,” “The Last Witch Hunter”) set to produce. Screen Gems has picked up the U.S. rights to the Bella Thorne and Ioan Gruffudd-led found footage horror film “Keep Watching”. Chandler Riggs, Natalie Martinez, Matthew Willig and Leigh Whannell also star.
The story centers on a dysfunctional family that must fight for their lives against home invaders. Gruffudd is the dad, Thorne his disillusioned teen daughter.
