The first photo is out showing Arnold Schwarzenegger in Taran Killam’s directorial debut “Why We’re Killing Gunther,” an action comedy about a group of assassins trying to kill the titular man (Schwarzenegger). Old Man and the Gun
Fox Searchlight Pictures has acquired North American and UK rights to “Pete’s Dragon” and “A Ghost Story” director David Lowery’s “Old Man and the Gun” at Endgame Entertainment.
Based on a short story by David Grann (“The Lost City of Z”), Robert Redford, Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek, Danny Glover, Tika Sumpter and Tom Waits star in the story of a 70-year-old thief who escapes San Quentin and executes an unprecedented string of heists. [Source: Fox Searchlight]
The latest issue of License Global magazine has confirmed that “Goosebumps: Horrorland” will be the title of the upcoming sequel to the live-action Jack Black comedy based on R.L. Stine’s iconic book series. The film is scheduled for release September 21st 2018.
MGM Television has scored the film adaptation rights to author Daniel Silva’s collection of spy novels based around art restorer, spy and assassin Gabriel Allon.
All of Silva’s novels have been New York Times Bestsellers, with eight of them debuting at number one. Silva and his wife Jamie Gangel will serve as executive producers. [Source: Variety]
