Paramount and The Film Arcade have announced a September 23rd release date for “Goat,” Andrew Neel’s fraternity drama which was a hit at Sundance. Nick Jonas and Ben Schnetzer star in the film which will open on September 23rd in New York, Los Angeles, and other select U.S. cities along with a digital and on demand release on that date. Who Am I
David Goyer is set to direct a remake of Baran bo Odar’s German film “Who Am I”. The story follows a man who falls in with a group of hackers in Berlin who attempt to gain notoriety by disrupting the public order. Dan Wiedenhaupt (“The Solutrean”) is penning the script for the remake. [Source: Deadline]
Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years”) is set to join the cast of Swedish writer and director Lisa Langseth’s “Euphoria” alongside Alicia Vikander and Eva Green. Vikander and Green play estranged sisters in conflict traveling through Europe towards a mystery destination. Rob Hardy (“Ex Machina,” “Testament of Youth”) serves as cinematographer and filming begins early August in the German Alps. [Source: Variety]
He’s Out There
Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski (“24,” “Chuck,” “Dexter”) has landed the starring role in Dennis Illiadis’ suspense thriller “He’s Out There” for Screen Gems. Shooting kicks off next month.
Mike Scannell penned the film in which Strahovski plays a mother who comes to visit a remote lake house, and finds herself fighting for the lives of herself and her two daughters after falling into a terrifying and bizarre nightmare conceived by a homicidal psychopath. [Source: Heat Vision]
Queen of Spain
The first trailer has been released for the Fernando Trueba-directed, Penelope Cruz-led “The Queen of Spain”. The pair, who previously worked together on “Belle Epoque” and “The Girl Of Your Dreams,” re-team on this sequel to ‘Girl’ and follows Cruz’s Spanish movie star character who returns to her roots in Madrid while making a big-budget Hollywood movie. The film opens November 25th.
