New “Tracks,” “Lovers,” “Fright” Trailers

It has been a busy day for previews for some smaller titles scheduled to hit over the next few months.

First up the official U.S. trailer has arrived for “Tracks,” John Curran’s film about the nine-month journey in 1978 undertaken by Robyn Davidson (Mia Wasikowska). Davidson walked from Alice Springs in Central Australia to the West Australian coast, crossing three deserts in the process.

Adam Driver also stars in the film which opens in Australia this week. This trailer though is the same as the already released international one, albeit with MPAA and TWC title cards.

Wasikowska also stars alongside Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston in Jim Jarmusch’s darkly comic, romantic vampire drama “Only Lovers Left Alive”. The U.S. trailer for that has now hit.

Then there’s the red-band trailer for the UK dark comedy slasher tale “Stage Fright” in which Minnie Driver gets it in the first fifteen seconds. The story involves a deadly school camp staging of “The Phantom of the Opera” but with a kabuki influence.
