In recent months all sorts of concept art appears to have leaked regarding J.J. Abrams’ upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with quite a lot of it – assuming it’s real – spoiling some big scenes. Today though, a new sketch has gone up which is less spoilery and more about an interesting design choice.
Indie Revolver have posted up a new TIE Fighter design (NOT pictured above) which seems like an amalgamation of a regular TIE fighter from the original trilogy with the Emperor’s shuttle, along with some red paint styling.
The shot also includes various storm troopers lined up, along with two red-cloaked figures, similar to the Emperor’s guards from “Return of the Jedi”. There is speculation this ship might used by Gwendoline Christie’s character in the film.
