Focus Features have set a Christmas Day limited theatrical release for “The Master” and “There Will Be Blood” director Paul Thomas Anderson’s next film, a project set in the fashion world and starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
That isn’t the only film scoring a new date today, another is Jason Reitman’s “Tully” starring Charlize Theron and Mackenzie Davis. The film, penned by Diablo Cody,” will open wide on April 20th.
Also, Lionsgate has set an August 11th release date for Brie Larson’s comedy-drama “The Glass Castle”. A re-teaming with her “Short Term 12” director Destin Daniel Cretton, the film follows a woman whose dysfunctional parents move to New York to live near her.
Screen Media Films has scored North American rights to the time-travel stoner comedy “Ripped” and have set a June 23rd day-and-date theatrical release.
Finally, Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions are teaming to distribute Todd Haynes’ “Wonderstruck” with a limited release on October 20th planned ahead of a wide push in mid-November.
