While everyone’s got their focus on “Rogue One,” “Fantastic Beasts,” “Doctor Strange” or the various awards film contenders, there’s one other major property scoring a release around year’s end to keep an eye on – the film adaptation of the “Assassin’s Creed” game franchise.
The most uncertain of all these films, the movie boasts a classy reunion of last year’s “Macbeth” director Justin Kurzel and that film’s two stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. The complicated game sees rival sinister organisations using technology that allows people to link their conscious mind to the bodies of their ancestors in historical times.
in this case, Fassbender is saved from execution and put into the mind of his ancestor was an Assassin in the era of the Spanish Inquisition. Plenty of parkour and death dealing soon follow in the film which also stars Jeremy Irons, Ariane Labed, Michael K. Williams and Brendan Gleeson. Today, The Playlist has posted some fresh photos from the project which opens December 21st.
