Disney has two new images from its upcoming live-action fantasy film “Christopher Robin”.
Doing for “Winnie the Pooh” what “Hook” did for “Peter Pan,” the film serves as a sequel with a now adult Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) grown up and haunted by traumas he endured during World War II. He’s also a workaholic at a luggage company.
Soon, his old playmates from the Hundred Acre Wood find him again and his life is thrown for a loop. According to the article, other people can see Pooh and the other woodland creatures but they perceive them as stuffed animals – not beings that can talk.
Marc Forster (“Finding Neverland,” “Quantum of Solace”) directs the project which sees Jim Cummings reprise the voice role of Pooh alongside Tigger (Chris O’Dowd), Eeyore (Brad Garrett), and Piglet (Nick Mohammed).
Hayley Atwell also stars in the film which opens August 3rd.
