Summit Entertainment has been busy on the “Twilight” front with the franchise being rechristened “The Twilight Saga” (ala ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’) says MTV News.
Thus the upcoming sequel has been officially christened “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon”. Scheduled for a November 20th release, the sequel follows Bella Swan (Stewart) who is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black.
Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested. A look at the new film’s logo artwork is below, while production on the project kicks off shortly.
Meanwhile the franchise is ramping forward fast with Variety reporting that the third film “Eclipse” is being rushed forward with a June 30th 2010 release being targeted. No director has yet been selected.
