New “Mass Effect” Will Focus On Siblings

With the upcoming game title “Mass Effect Andromeda,” the action shifts centuries into the future and in a different galaxy. Even so, players have still been expecting to have the same choice they had with the previous three games – namely that you could play the lead character as either a man or woman depending upon your choice at the start.

Electronic Arts and BioWare were on hand at the recent PlayStation Meeting event held in New York this past week where Sony unveiled the new PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro. Mac Walters, the creative lead at BioWare, explained to PlayStation Access that ‘Andromeda’ is taking a different tactic.

The action will reportedly follow two main characters, a brother and sister. Both exist in the game world at the same time so you’re playing as the sister, your brother is out there somewhere in the universe and vice versa. The pair’s father is also out there too and will tie in to the story, but it’s not clear in what capacity.

The game runs on DICE’s coveted Frostbite 3 game engine and so will make full use of the best graphics available. IT is currently targeting a March 2017 release.
