With Force Friday II underway, the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” merchandising push is in full swing. As details are so scarce about the contents of Rian Johnson’s film, people are exploring everything released for potential tidbits.
Johnson himself has indicated that all the merchandise hitting shelves doesn’t contain any spoilers fans should be worried about. Even so, they do offer a couple of new details.
The most notable comes from Topps’ Star Wars Card Trader app which includes one piece of artwork that contains a very minor reveal about the story – that there’s an X-wing submerged just under the surface of the shoreline by the island that Rey and Luke Skywalker are on.
There’s already speculation that this is method via which Luke arrived on the planet, and could lead to a scene reminiscent of that in “The Empire Strikes Back” where Yoda force lifts Luke’s X-Wing out of the swamp.
