Several upcoming TV series launched new promo trailers this week, starting with Netflix’s new dark revenge comedy series “Insatiable” from producer Lauren Gussis (“Dexter”). The show is set to launch with twelve hour-long episodes on August 10th.
The story follows a once overweight woman who finds herself suddenly thin and is out for payback against anyone who has ever made her feel bad about herself. Roberts plays a disgraced attorney turned beauty pageant coach with Milano playing his wife.
Next up, Netflix has released the sixth season trailer for its prison drama “Orange Is the New Black” with the Litchfield Penitentiary crew relocating to a maximum security facility, complete with new inmates, routines, and uniforms. They may be in new digs, but the riots and dangers travel with them in the new season which premieres July 27th on Netflix.
Finally comes the official U.S. trailer for the Amazon Prime original limited series “Ordeal By Innocence” based on the novel by Agatha Christie. Bill Nighy, Alice Eve, Matthew Goode, Luke Treadaway, Anna Chancellor, Christian Cooke, Morven Christie, Anthony Boyle and Ella Purnell star in the project which is the first of three event series adaptations of Christie works for Prime Video.
In the series, old wounds are reopened for the Argyll family when a man suddenly turns up and claims that the black sheep of the family, Jack Argyll, could not have murdered its tyrannical matriarch – for which he was accused just one year earlier. The series launches August 10th.
