New “Halloween” TV Spot & Theme Track

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have released more material from the new David Gordon Green-directed “Halloween” starring Jamie Lee Curtis.

There’s a new TV spot boasting some new footage, and that is preceded by a clip showcasing Curtis and filmmaker John Carpenter introducing it. Additionally one of the first tracks from the film’s score has been released. The title, ‘The Shape Returns,’ comes from Carpenter himself who collaborated with his son and godson on the reworking of the original’s famous theme.

Green himself recently spoke about the film, telling Bloody Disgusting that they were going to re-film the end of the original film from a different perspective but ultimately Carpenter helped him realise it was unnecessary.

The new “Halloween” hits cinemas on October 19th. For Carpenter fans, check out another trailer below advertising the upcoming 4K restorations of several of his classic titles for home video.
