New “Halloween” Shoot Delayed Until January

Originally slated to begin filming last month, it now looks like David Gordon Green’s new “Halloween” film will begin shooting mid-January 2018 according to Bloody Disgusting.

The site says multiple sources have confirmed the new date which follows a delay of production that has potentially to do with casting. A recent casting call for extras in South Carolina mentioned the new mid-January filming date.

At present the delay has seemingly had no impact on the film’s release which is still on track for an October 19th 2018 opening.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Judy Greer star in the new chapter which Green co-wrote with Danny McBride and which takes place following the events of John Carpenter’s 1978 original whilst ignoring all the sequels.

Carpenter is executive producing and scoring the new film.
