Focus Features has revealed a new full-length trailer for the upcoming fantasy fable “A Monster Calls” starring Liam Neeson as said monster. “The Orphanage” and “The Impossible” director Juan Antonio Bayona helms the project based on the award-winning children’s fantasy novel.
The story follows a twelve-year-old boy (Lewis MacDougall) who attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying from his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales. There he learns various lessons about life and love.
Sigourney Weaver, Toby Kebbell and Geraldine Chaplin also star in the film which opens nationwide on October 21st.
