A couple of key release date changes of note today.
Warner Bros. Pictures has given an awards-season release date of October 30th to David Gordon Green’s political drama “Our Brand Is Crisis” starring Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton.
An adaptation of the 2005 documentary, the story follows a group of American consultants hired to get an unpopular Bolivian president re-elected.
In other news and coming off the awards success of “Boyhood,” Richard Linklater’s untitled baseball comedy has scored an April 15th 2016 release.
Formerly titled “That’s What I’m Talking About,” Blake Jenner stars as a new pitcher on a highly ranked college baseball team that also parties extensively.
Finally, Universal has given the sequel to its Zac Efron and Seth Rogen comedy “Neighbors” a new title. Production Weekly says the film will go by the moniker “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”. It has also been pushed back by a week and will now open May 20th next year.
