A bunch of key release date changes have just been announced as CinemaCon gets into full swing in Las Vegas.
First up, Sony Pictures has announced they have moved up Edgar Wright’s “Baby Driver” by a month and a half. Originally slated for early August, the film will now hit cinemas on Wednesday June 28th.
Next up, Universal Pictures has set a May 24th 2019 release date for the Robert Downey Jr.-led “Doctor Dolittle” project which will be helmed by Stephen Gaghan (“Syriana,” “Gold”).
Then there’s Paramount who’ve locked down three release dates – most notably the George Clooney-directed, Coen brothers penned, all-star “Suburbicon” which will open November 3rd this year. Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac and Josh Brolin star.
The other two are the Johnny Knoxville comedy “Action Point” which will open March 23rd 2018, and the Emily Blunt-John Krasinski supernatural thriller “A Quiet Place” which will open April 13th 2018.
Finally, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have set an awards-season release date of September 22nd for Jake Gyllenhaal’s Boston Marathon bombing movie “Stronger”.
