The second trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been officially rated by the Alberta Film Ratings board, indicating its release is imminent.
This doesn’t come as a big surprise as the film scores a Comic Con panel tomorrow morning and it’s expected the new preview, which runs two minutes and twenty-four seconds, will debut online shortly after and is also said to be airing during Conan O’Brien’s broadcast from the convention.
Both with “Man of Steel” and “Mad Max: Fury Road,” Warner Brothers premiered an extended five to ten minute trailer for Con attendees to their Hall H panel, and then followed that up by releasing a more regular length trailer online just hours later.
It’s hoped the studio will show off a lot more in this trailer as the film’s first teaser a few months ago was met with something of a mixed response. The film itself doesn’t open until March 25th next year.
In related news, Bryan Cranston revealed at Comic Con that all those rumors several years ago about him playing Lex Luthor in the film were untrue. He tells MTV: “Not one conversation, it was all fan-driven. They’re thinking, ‘Who could play Lex Luthor? Who’s bald who could be menacing? Oh, Walter White, we can get that guy’. So, it’s like, that’s not very inspiring casting.”
