A collection of small but interesting bits of news about Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” have made their way online in the past few days.
Things kick off with Jeremy Irons and his take on Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth in the film. Turns out, according to What Culture, the character’s backstory is being reworked for the new film – it seems he’s not so much a butler but rather a bodyguard.
The site indicates he’s the only staff member Wayne kept on after his parent’s death and suggests it was him that trained the young Mr. Wayne to fight back – with the help of his former training from his stint in the Special Air Service. Now, years on, he’s the head of Wayne security and likely had a big hand in developing Bruce’s technology.
The actor has praised his co-star Ben Affleck’s performance, telling : “He [Ben Affleck] is extraordinary, quite extraordinary, and Zack Snyder, the director, fantastic vision. I think the public will have a great treat in store.” Moving on, a super brief promo for the film is out which centers on the new Batmobile as it makes its way out of the Batcave:
