New “Avengers” Trailer Breaks Records

The second trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War” was reportedly viewed 179 million times in its first 24 hours. That makes it the third-biggest trailer release in history, according to Disney and Marvel Studios, and the biggest release ever for a second trailer.

The record-holder for the biggest trailer release is the first trailer for the film with around 230 million views in its first 24 hours in November. “IT” is currently in second place with its first trailer being watched 197 million times in its first day.

The film has also become theater chain AMC’s biggest-selling superhero movie after 72 hours, more than tripling the record held by “Black Panther”.

The results come as Disney Parks around the world are adding Avengers themed areas which are being developed in partnership with Marvel Studios and Marvel Themed Entertainment. These areas will be located at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.
