Netflix’s “Unfortunate Events” Gets Renewed

Netflix has confirmed in a new video dubbed a ‘miserable message’ that they have renewed their hit show “A Series of Unfortunate Events” for a second season. The video sends users to the url: VastlyFrighteningDecision.com where a letter from Lemony Snicket himself reveals the good news.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) , the eight episode first season was released in January and recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny — whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.

The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. Reviews were fairly strong for the first season, and as always Netflix won’t release viewing data.
