Netflixs Spirit Series Becomes A Film

Universal and DreamWorks Animation have announced two animated films with plans for a theatrical release in 2021.

The first is “Spirit Riding Free” which will hit the big screen on May 14th 2021. The project is based on the DreamWorks Animation Television series on Netflix which itself was inspired by the 2002 Oscar-nominated film “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron”.

Elaine Bogan is directing the animated adventure which continues the story about an unbreakable bond between a girl and her wild horse.

The other project is “The Bad Guys” released September 17th 2021. Adapted from Aaron Blabey’s best-selling book series, the story centers on legendary heist masterminds who, after a career of crime, take a stab at the virtuous life. Etan Cohen wrote the script, which will be directed by Pierre Perifel.
