Netflix’s “Mindhunter” will premiere its second season on August 16th, nearly two full years since the first season hit the service.
The second season is thought to pick up between 1979 and 1981 with a focus on the Atlanta child murders where at least 28 people were thought to have been murdered in a short period of time.
Jonathan Groff, Anna Torv and Holt McCallany reprise their roles for the new episodes. David Fincher was the first to reveal the date whilst speaking on the KCRW’s podcast “The Treatment,” with Netflix subsequently confirming it.
Charlize Theron, Joshua Donen and Cean Chaffin also executive produce.
