Netflix has announced a December 26th launch date for “Fast & Furious: Spy Racers,” a new animated series based on the blockbuster film franchise at Universal Pictures, and released a poster and new first look photos from the show.
Former “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey and “American Vandal” actress Camille Ramsey lead the cast of the series following teenager Tony Toretto (Posey) as he tries to follow in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends get suddenly recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization called SH1FT3R bent on world domination.
Ramsey plays a notable underground racer who works for SH1FT3R, Luke Youngblood plays a 13-year old tech genius, Charlet Chung will play a wildly talented artist and natural spy, and Jorge Diaz plays both the muscle and the sweetheart of the crew.
Similce Diesel, the eldest daughter of franchise star and executive producer Vin Diesel, will guest star as the young sister of the tech genius character. Universal and DreamWorks Animation are backing the series which Tim Hedrick, Bret Haaland, Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz and Chris Morgan are executive producing.
