Siobhan Finneran (“Happy Valley”), Hannah John-Kamen (“Ready Player One”), Anthony Head (“Buffy”), Stephen Rea (“Greta”), and in her first dramatic role Jennifer Saunders (“Absolutely Fabulous”), are all set to star in the eight-part Netflix series adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel “The Stranger”.
“The Hobbit” and “Spooks” star Richard Armitage plays Adam Price, a man who finds himself tangled in a mysterious web of deception. His steady life, two wonderful sons and watertight marriage all seem unassailable – until a mysterious stranger (John-Kamen) reveals a shocking secret about his wife.
Finneran will play detective Johanna Griffin. In addition, Shaun Dooley (“Broadchurch”), Paul Kaye (“Game of Thrones”), Dervla Kirwan (“Strike Back”), and Kadiff Kirwan (“Black Mirror”) have also joined the cast.
Studiocanal’s Red Production Company (“The Five,” “Safe”) is producing and Coben, Nicola Shindler, Danny Brocklehurst, and Richard Fee will executive produce.
