Netflix Taking Millar’s “Magic Order” To Series

Netflix Taking Millars Magic Order To Series

Netflix released its first graphic novel last year with the limited comic series “The Magic Order” from veteran Mark Millar (“Kick-Ass,” “Kingsman”). As the first issue has become the highest-selling new comic book in twenty years, it comes as no surprise that Netflix is now developing a series adaptation of the story.

In the story, five families of magicians are sworn to protect our world for generations and must battle an enemy who’s picking them off one by one.

By day they live among us as our neighbors, friends, and co-workers, but by night they are the sorcerers, magicians, and wizards that protect us from the forces of darkness… unless the darkness gets them first.

James Wan (“The Conjuring”) and Lindsey Beer (“Sierra Burgess is a Loser”) will executive produce the series with Beer acting as writer/showrunner and Wan attached to direct the pilot episode.

A graphic novel collection of the entire six-issue series recently hit shelves.
