Netflix has premiered the trailer for “Ultimate Beastmaster,” the streaming service’s first original reality competition series and the first foray into this genre by producer Sylvester Stallone.
From six regions across the world, Netflix brings together the athletic elite in a global competition series that will exhaust their physical and mental stamina and push them to breaking points. These contestants must leave it all on the course in order to prove victorious.
Six customized local versions featuring local languages, competitors and hosts from each competing country will be produced. The six versions are – Brazil, Germany, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and the United States. Terry Crews and Charissa Thompson will host the U.S. version.
The ten-episode event series will feature 108 competitors, 18 from each country, in total. Each hour-long episode will feature 12 competitors, two from each country, who will take their shot at running one of the most physically demanding obstacle courses ever devised.
At the end of each episode, a ‘Beastmaster’ will be crowned and in the final episode the nine individual winners will compete against each other for the chance for one contestant to become the Ultimate Beastmaster.
All ten episodes will launch on Friday, February 24th at 12:01am US-PST.
