The team behind Comedy Central’s “Workaholics” are coming to the big screen with the announcement of the action comedy feature “Game Over, Man!” for Netflix.
“Workaholics” is a half hour sitcom about three stoner buddies and their day job at a telemarketing company. Adam Devine, Anders Holm, Blake Anderson and Kyle Newacheck, a comedy team collectively known as Mail Order Comedy, co-created the series which has a seventh season on the way.
Though the quartet have appeared in other films separately, most notably Devine, this will be their first movie as a group effort. The story is described as “Die Hard in a Hotel” while the title is a reference to the famous line by Bill Paxton in “Aliens,” but otherwise plot specifics are under wraps.
Anders Holm penned the screenplay while Kyle Newacheck will direct the feature and have a supporting role as Devine, Holm and Anderson take the leads.
Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Scott Rudin are amongst numerous producers on the action comedy which will hit cinemas and Netflix sometime in 2017. Rogen is not set to appear at this time.
