Netflix Renews Society Nabs A List

Netflix has renewed their “Lord of the Flies”-inspired teen drama series “The Society” for a second season with the show to kick off the new episodes in 2020. Kathryn Newton, Rachel Keller, Gideon Adlon, Jacques Colimon, Olivia DeJonge and Alex Fitzalan star while Marc Webb helms.

Written by Chris Keyser, the story follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town, left without any trace of their parents. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.

In addition, Netflix has also acquired the global rights to the British supernatural teen drama “The A List”. Dan Berlinka and Nina Metivier penned the series about a young woman who arrives at an idyllic summer camp expecting to be Queen Bee, but the ‘holiday of a lifetime’ turns into a twisted nightmare with the arrival of the mysterious Amber. Lisa Ambalavanar, Ellie Duckles, Rosie Dwyer, Jacob Dudman and Cian Barry star.
