It’s official, Netflix has renewed the period serial killer drama series “Mindhunter” for a second season.
David Fincher returns as executive producer but it’s unclear how many episodes, or even if, he’ll direct. It’s also unclear if there’ll be the same or more than the eight episodes of the first season.
Fincher has previously revealed the second season will deal with the Atlanta child murders which took place between 1979 and 1981 when 28 African-American children, adolescents, and adults were killed.
Wayne Williams was eventually convicted for two of the murders but has always maintained his innocence, and even some officials believe they got the wrong guy. A late 2018 release is likely.
