Netflix Renews Anne Sets District Launch

Netflix and CBC have announced that they have officially renewed their drams series “Anne with an E,” a modern take on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic “Anne of Green Gables” novels, for a third season. Shooting kicks off this winter ahead of a 2019 premiere.

The third season will continue to tackle new issues, adding new characters and storylines while further exploring themes such as identity, prejudice, feminism, bullying, gender parity and empowerment through the lens of its irrepressible and now 16-years-old protagonist.

Additionally, Netflix has announced an October 19th premiere date for the upcoming ten-episode Colombian series “Wild District” starring “Narcos” actor Juan Pablo Raba.

The series stars Raba as a lethal guerrilla fighter who escapes the jungle after the signing of the Colombian Peace Agreements. He arrives in Bogota escaping from his past and tries to reinsert himself in society while looking to reconnect with his long lost family. Check out the trailer below:
