Netflix has renewed “The Simpsons” and “Futurama” creator Matt Groening’s medieval animated comedy series “Disenchantment” for a second season.
The streaming giant has ordered a further twenty episodes of the series which will be released in two half-season installments of ten episodes each. The first season’s first ten episodes premiere in August with the second half goes to air in 2019. The second season will be split over 2020 and 2021.
The series takes place in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland and follows the adventures of a hard-drinking princess named Bean, her diminutive companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci.
