“Orange Is the New Black” creator Jenji Kohan is re-teaming with Netflix for a new straight-to-series ten-episode comedy series inspired by the real story of the female wrestling league.
“GLOW”, aka. Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, is a remake of the 1980s professional women’s wrestling syndicated TV series of the same name. In the new version, an out-of-work L.A. actress finds one last attempt to live her dreams in the form of a weekly series about female wrestlers.
Kohan is bringing ‘Orange’ producing alumni Carly Mensch and Tara Herrmann along for the series, while Liz Flahive (“Homeland”) is also onboard. The original series ran for four seasons with 104 episodes produced in total. Check out the opening credits below:
