Netflix Plans “She-Ra” Reboot, “Boss Baby” Series

Netflix and DreamWorks Animation Television have unveiled their joint slate for 2018 which includes six new original animated series to debut on the streaming giant next year.

“Trolls: The Beat Goes On!” kicks things off on January 19th and will follow new adventures of the cute fluffy-haired creatures from the movies. Two other DWA films becoming series are “The Boss Baby: Back in Business” and “The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants” which offer series follow-ups to this year’s two films from the animation studio.

Arguably the biggest of the six is a return to the fantastical planet of Eternia with Eisner Award-winning author and executive producer Noelle Stevenson behind a reboot of classic 1980s “He-Man” spin-off “She-Ra: Princess of Power”. This take: “celebrates female friendship and empowerment, lead by a warrior princess tailor-made for today.”

There’s also “Harvey Street Kids” about three BFFs who will do whatever it takes to keep Harvey Street the best block to never grow up on. And finally there’s the previously announced third “Trollhunters” seeason and follow-up “3 Below”.
