Netflix has ordered the ten-episode psychological thriller drama “Gypsy” from Universal Television, Working Title and writer Lisa Rubin. The series is slated to debut in 2017.
The story follows Jean Holloway, a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationship with the people in her patients’ lives. Rubin, Liza Chasin, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will executive produce with Rubin also serving as writer.
Universal Television currently has two series in production at the streaming service – the comedies “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “Master of None”.
