Netflix has ordered 26 half-hour episodes of a reboot of the classic 1980s books turned 1990s PBS kids series “The Magic School Bus”.
Entitled “The Magic School Bus 360,” the new version will Ms. Frizzle (voiced by Lily Tomlin in the original) as she takes her students on all sorts of crazy, educational adventures.
The new version will be CG-animated, sporting modernised versions of Ms. Frizzle and the bus itself. The kids will also be using updated scientific technology.
The first episodes are scheduled to appear in 2016. Netflix acquired the rights to the original show last year and the repeats are the service’s top educational show.
