Bill Skarsgard (“IT”) and Eliza Scanlen (“Sharp Objects”) have joined the cast of Antonio Campos’ feature “The Devil All the Time” which Netflix has officially picked up for distribution ahead of filming beginning next month in Alabama.
The pair joins a stellar cast that includes Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson and Gabriel Ebert. The story is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s southern gothic novel which takes place in a forgotten backwoods Ohio town where a storm of faith, violence and redemption brews.
Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets his son (Holland) on the path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action.
Campos co-wrote the project with Campos, while Jake Gyllenhaal, Riva Marker, Randall Poster and Max Born are producing.
