Netflix Gets Disney’s Films In September

Back in 2012, Disney and Netflix came to a deal that would see the streaming service become the exclusive home to a good portion of the Mouse House’s movie vault – a deal that included films from Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar Animation.

At the time though it was annoying news as the deal would not go into effect until 2016. Well, now we’re here and this week Netflix revealed that the deal is finally set to kick off in September saying in a statement: “Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar.”

Disney previously held an exclusive deal with Starz which will now be over bar some recent titles such as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which won’t hope on the streaming giant just yet.
