Netflix & Dark Horse Team After “Umbrella”

Netflix Dark Horse Team After Umbrella

Following their collaborations earlier this year on the film “Polar” and the series “The Umbrella Academy,” Netflix has signed a first-look deal with comic book publisher Dark Horse Entertainment.

The plan is to take titles from Dark Horse’s large content library and adapt them for the screen. Notable Dark Horse original titles include the likes of “30 Days of Night,” “300,” “B.P.R.D.,” “Barb Wire,” “Black Science,” “Concrete,” “Fear Agent,” “The Goon,” “Harrow County,” “Hellboy,” “Low,” “The Mask,” “Rex Mundi,” “Sin City,” “Tank Girl,” “Timecop,” and “Usagi Yojimbo”.

Teams are reportedly already working in deep collaboration with Dark Horse to identify projects beyond the world of traditional superheroes that will work with their user base. The aforementioned “The Umbrella Academy” has already been renewed for a second season following being viewed by more than 45 million member households.
