“Avengers: Infinity War” hit Netflix on Christmas Day and, after some early access issues, the streaming giant found itself facing an unexpected problem due to their inclusion of the wording ‘intergalactic sociopath’ to describe Thanos in their plot synopsis of the movie.
Netflix has now reportedly removed the words from their description. It comes in the wake of a surprising online debate about the definition of sociopath vs. psychopath and how the Mad Titan should be classified.
The description now reads: “Invader. Annihilator. So-called savior. As Thanos moves ever closer to omnipotence, the fate of the universe rests with the Avengers.” The talk comes as Marvel Studios films and TV are being pulled or axed from Netflix in favour of the Disney+ streaming service late next year.
