“Hannibal” creator Bryan Fuller has sadly revealed that though there had been talks with Netflix and Amazon to revive the canceled NBC series, both streaming services have now passed on picking up the show.
The series is currently in the midst of its third season with the show’s sixth episode set to air on Thursday this week. Fuller revealed the news in a brief statement on his Twitter page today:

What those other “possibilities” could be for reviving the show isn’t clear, but Netflix and Amazon were considered the two most likely chances for the show’s revival. It’s not known how much longer Fuller and the show’s other producers will keep looking for an alternative home.
For now it looks like the third season finale, and series finale, will air on August 27th.
