Neil Patrick Harris has confirmed via social media that he’s set to host next year’s Oscars on February 22nd, marking his first time as host of the Oscars ceremony.
Harris certainly has experience at this, having hosted the Tony Awards four times and the Emmy Awards twice. He takes over from Ellen DeGeneres who hosted earlier this year but didn’t want to return.
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are producing the ceremony for a third consecutive year. The 2014 ceremony in March pulled in an average audience of 45.4 million total viewers.
