“The Descent” and “Doomsday” director Neil Marshall is re-teaming with Rogue Pictures on the Old West-set horror flick “Sacrilege” says Variety.
Marshall will write and direct the project, and says “It is set during the Gold Rush, a time remembered for incidents like the Donner Party. It is meant to be a pitch-black, gritty, period horror movie.”
Marshall plans to draw on themes of isolation and paranoia and such influences as H.P. Lovecraft’s work. Scripting will begin immediately.
