Neil Jordan Directing “Skippy Dies”

Irish filmmaker Neil Jordan (“The Crying Game,” “Interview with the Vampire”) is set to write and direct a film adaptation of Paul Murray’s second novel “Skippy Dies” for Number 9 Films reports BBC News.

The Dublin school-set comedy saga follows Daniel ‘Skippy’ Juster and his room-mate Ruprecht Van Doren, an overweight genius, at an expensive Catholic boarding school.

Jordan next project is based on Neil Gaiman’s award-winning fantasy novel “The Graveyard Book” which begins production later this year.

‘Skippy’, one of thirteen books on the longlist for the Man Booker Prize, hasn’t yet scheduled a production date.
